Now that you are in position to perform the mountain climber, take your right leg and lift and bend your knee to touch the opposite (left) elbow. Keep your left foot on the floor while doing this. Bring your right foot back to the starting position next to your left foot. Do this in one smooth motion. Next, do the opposite leg. Take your left leg and lift and bend your knee to touch the opposite (right) elbow. Do 12 to 15 repetitions of the mountain climber with each leg.

The first exercise is a straight leg raise. Start out by lying on the floor in a crunch position. This requires lying flat on your back from your head to your buttocks. While lying in this position take your right hand and touch the bottom of your right ear. Do the same with your left hand. Your elbows will be bent and you will create a v-shape with both arms. Tilt your hips into the floor, also, for maximum effect on your abs.
