Last week, Garmin announced its new Fenix GPS sports watches and Fitbit announced its Versa 2. Earlier last month, there were also new smartwatch announcements from Samsung and Fossil.

Still, given that Honor recently announced the launch of the Band 5 in China, there’s a chance that the company could use IFA 2019 to announce its launch in the Western market . Honor’s parent company Huawei also just unveiled its new HarmonyOS operating system, which has been tipped to power a future wearable. We’d be surprised if it had one of these ready for IFA, though. Lastly, according to Wareable , Fossil is expected to release a new batch of hybrid smartwatches before the end of the year, and that IFA would be the perfect opportunity for an announcement.
