Difficulties on the way to implementation
Transition to remote work
During the project implementation, difficulties related to the "transition to remote work" arose. The pandemic and other external factors forced many employees to work from home, which complicated the coordination and implementation of new solutions.
Additional difficulties were associated with the scale of the branch network of "CPTI". Transferring the infrastructure to the cloud space of the State Corporation "Rosatom" and adapting it to the requirements of information security required significant efforts. It was necessary to perform many tasks: integration with other systems, ensuring uninterrupted operation in the new conditions, etc. It was impossible to foresee all the problems, so the company had to adjust the technical specifications several times. As a result, the project implementation period increased by 2 times.
Migration of functionality and adaptation of business processes
Migration of data and processes from foreign systems to domestic solutions has also become a labor-intensive task. Given the relatively short period of JSC CPTI presence on the market (13 years), many of its business processes were developed in an operational format, due to which some important aspects were missed. Therefore, adapting them to new conditions today is not so easy.
Finally, in addition to the software products mentioned earlier, the company needed to implement more than a dozen new solutions. This factor entailed additional tasks for careful development and coordination of existing work processes. And such a review of business processes can further slow down the implementation of the project.
Technical support and staff training
Another obstacle in the project was the need for simultaneous maintenance of two systems - foreign and Russian. At the moment, technical support is provided by the Greenatom Company, which is part of Rosatom. However, these services are provided for an additional fee. In addition, from the end of 2023, it is planned to switch to temporary technical support for imported solutions.
There is also a problem with the adaptation of new specialists. Not all employees are ready for a quick transition to new software products, which entails additional training costs.
