And, as João Pedro Jorge, financial and administrative director of Laboratórios Boiron, confirms in a conversation with PRIMAVERA, business processes are simplified, resulting in a significant increase in productivity and efficiency. PRIMAVERA: In what areas were there process improvements after jordan whatsapp number database the OMNIA platform?

João Pedro Jorge : In the area of ​​processing our employees' expense notes, because it was a more manual area. And also in the issue of vacations: it greatly simplified the process and the requests made to Human Resources, which are now made through the platform, which also speeds up the process.

João Pedro Jorge : Yes, it took up a lot of time on both sides: on the side of the person who wrote the expense report and on the side of the person who had to process it. The employee lost more time because he had to register the amounts on a platform that we used, but that platform did not allow, for example, to scan the document and attach it. What he had to do was, in the first phase, register the document and, in the second phase, send all the documentation on his part by post.

Since most of our external collaborators are not from Lisbon, they had to be sent by post. Then we had to check the documentation against what was in the system. It was quite complicated to do this every month and, in the accounting area, the integration also took longer.

By using OMNIA we have achieved a huge gain in efficiency. Everything is done much faster, all documents are available on the platform, we don't have to send them by post. At least one day of work has been saved for some people in the company and that is significant.

We also noticed a huge gain in efficiency in holiday registration, which used to be done using Excel. People had to fill out a document and send it. Then we had to cross-reference it between the various teams. And with the information from OMNIA it is much easier, with the advantage that everything is also integrated into the PRIMAVERA ERP.

PRIMAVERA: In this phase that we are living in, in which many companies are working remotely, has this made work easier? The fact that everything is digitalized?

João Pedro Jorge : It was actually "gold on blue", because we completed the process very quickly. We started talking to PRIMAVERA in December and started the process in the first week of January. During the month of January we managed to prepare almost everything, and the process was completed in February. And when we went into lockdown, we had OMNIA up and running. The digital concept made our lives easier.

The fact that we went into lockdown, that we were all working from home and that we could use OMNIA, with everything being online, was a huge advantage, because, for example, when it came to expenses, we weren't going to ask people to go to the post office and send in their documents. It would have been much more complicated. The fact that we had the platform up and running in March was great. I think that this unique situation we are experiencing shows the importance of using certain platforms and using digital technology.

SPRING: Have they become much more agile?

João Pedro Jorge : Yes, it has made things a lot more agile. Processes are faster and we have had positive feedback from our employees. We started using it in February and by March people were already used to using it. Not only for me and my closest employee, who use the platform more, but also for the sales team and other office users who also have to use it.

PRIMAVERA: Does it end up being an investment in agility and not an operational cost?

João Pedro Jorge : At Boiron, we have a policy of viewing investments. We do not view the development of this project as a cost, but rather as an investment. Obviously, there is always a cost associated with any project, but we always believe that the return is much higher. The gains we have in efficiency and effectiveness compensate for the investment that was made.
