14 Creative Techniques for Making Adwords and Social Media

Post by pappu6327 »

At PRO Marketing DAY, David and Elena told us some very interesting things about creative online marketing techniques and social media advertising. They gave us lots of ideas and tips for creating ads. We have summarized them all and we are going to tell you the best of their conference so that you can improve your campaigns using creative formats, tools and advanced segmentation methods.

If you run campaigns or are thinking of launching one, these ideas will be very useful. The truth is that in advertising there is nothing written and the ads have to be adapted to more visual formats and a more demanding audience . We hope to give you new ideas and that you can put many of them into practice and of course, that you ask us any questions and give us your opinion in the comments.

By the way, if you want to learn more or update your knowledge, we have a Facebook Ads and Social Ads Course for you to create advertising campaigns on all social networks, both in person and online. You can also take a look at our Google Ads Course in person and the Google Ads Course online .

Take into account the logistics partCreative advertising vs Adblock and spam ads
We know that 50% of the population uses the Internet and that e-commerce australia telegram phone numbers constantly growing, currently 29% buy online once a week . At the same time, 615 million devices use Adblock or similar. This has serious consequences for companies, in 2016 losses of 41 billion dollars were estimated and from 2015 to 2016 the use of ad blockers increased by 30%

As advertisers, this is something that should make us think, don't you think?

On the one hand, there are opportunities and the reasoning that if online shopping has increased, it is because there is demand for thousands of products and services . We also have advanced segmentation tools at our disposal , but they do not seem to be working. Users “block ads” and many think that behind a nice message there is nothing more than a trap. Why don’t we use custom audiences better? What are we brands doing wrong?

Maybe we are obsessed with results and have left creativity aside
Perhaps we have lost awareness of the real needs of these potential customers.
Maybe we are abusing remarketing and exposing our ads too much to the same people.
Maybe there is too much competition and too many brands advertising the same thing at the same time.
Is it possible to do things better? I think so, and advertising does not have to be negative if the message, format, segmentation and frequency are taken care of.

In this video you can watch the entire conference again and at the end you have the presentation with all the slides:

Many of them are focused on SEM, but most of them are ideas that can be applied to any project. Below I explain the tips in writing with more information and examples:

1. Test multiple audiences and ads on Facebook

The best thing about social media advertising is that you can target your audience based on their behaviors, interests, and demographics. Facebook lets you create your own audiences, with remarketing or email, and you can also create an audience from scratch with all the data it has on users.

Most companies test a couple of audiences in an A/B experiment, sometimes targeting advertising to men, sometimes to women, sometimes by age, sometimes by geographic location, etc. That's fine, but if you want to take your campaigns to the next level, it's not enough.

The image you add to your ad and the text you add to get them to participate or click through to your website also come into play. So why be left wondering what and to whom to show your ad when you can try hundreds of options ?

You can do it with Facebook or Power Editor but it would take you quite a bit of time . Adespresso is a tool that helps you create multiple ad and audience combinations from the same campaign. Large companies use it to test different market niches and detect which ones are more profitable and also to test multiple ad formats. The idea to start with can be to test with low budgets (20-30€ per campaign) and then invest more in the ads and audiences that give better results.
