Russi secured their first win in August's friendlies. The Falcons, still with a reshuffled lineup, defeated Castrocaro, a Promozione team with championship ambitions, 2-0. Striker Paganelli scored for the Orange team late in the first half and Antoniacci in the 12th minute of the second. Andrea Orecchia's squad has shown good progress. Russi will now take three days off and return to work on Monday afternoon, the week of their final pre-season friendly against Faenza (at the Bruno Bucci Stadium, 5 p.m.). Then the real action will begin when Orecchia's boys take to the field in Budrio against Mezzolara, home to former players Padovani and Rossi.
The first at the Ballotta, was against Parma's Primavera team coached by Tiziano De Patre. Mantelli initially fielded Scarica in goal, Rastelli, Zamboni, Piva, and Gorrini in the backline, Bertolini and Petrelli in front of the defense, and Fermi, Orlando, and Pizzelli behind the lone striker, Pompini. It was a truly entertaining first half, with the Bianconeri imposing their play and coming close to taking the lead several times. They took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to a feat by Pompini, who, receiving the ball just inside the box, turned and whatsapp number database placed the ball with his left foot into the top right corner, where Russo could do nothing.

In the second half, aided by the scorching heat and numerous substitutions (Kassi, Camara, Rondanini, Liverani, Bacchini, Mongardi, and Campos came on for Fidenza), the tempo slowed, and Parma played better, showcasing the skills of Jacopo Scarica, always punctual in closing down gaps and denying the Crociati forwards' shots. However, in the 85th minute, the young Fidenza forward succumbed to a long-range effort from a free kick by La Padula, who found a low trajectory that surprised the goalkeeper. The final score was 1-1, and the impressions were positive for a strong first half from Mantelli's team. Among the Parma players, Galassi, La Padula, and Terranova deserve praise.
