I remember once, during the pandemic, a sunny and beautiful morning, but I had to enjoy it from the window because it was the middle of quarantine.
I was looking out from my window at the horizon, like Rapunzel, when in the distance I began to hear someone singing. They weren't singing very beautifully, but they were singing happily. At first I thought it was some passionate neighbor, but no. The voice was coming from the street, and it was getting closer and closer.
But not very fast, he wasn't walking. Was he crawling? Was he a happy drunk?
Well, no. He was a street sweeper. Sweeping. Happy. If my memory serves me right, it was a ranchera, something by Rocío Durcal. The guy looked hilarious singing Rocío.
And if someone passed by, he greeted them with the same happiness as his song.
That guy taught me a great lesson that day: If you sweep too hard, you raise a lot of dust.
No lie, the lesson was that your job can be fun. The guy had so much a vietnam email address ttitude that you wanted to go down and help him. I didn't go down because we were in quarantine, as you know. And because I was in pajamas. And because I sing badly.
But I was not short of desire.
The task I want to give you today is to look at your to-do list and think about how you can enjoy your work more.
Play some upbeat music, use some colorful markers. That's where women have a huge advantage over men.
Put attitude into your work. Not only will you enjoy it more and be happier, but you will also become more attractive. Attractive. Atractive.
Whistle a song. Dance to the bathroom. Sharpen your pencil in style. Put on a concert with an imaginary electric guitar. Use your toothbrush as a microphone.
Do it today, even if it's just for fun.
You'll thank me later.
